Turkish does do 2x Daily to New York. It is just an IST - JFK routing.

They did previously fly to EWR. They opted to consolidate at JFK.

When exactly? I can't find anything from 1996 per say...

...it's "per se"
TK launched JFK service in 1988 with an A310, then switched to IST-BRU-EWR which it operated for two years in late 1991, then switched back to JFK.

Good chance of it, TK has a knack for oddball non-Star destinations like ATL and MIA so DEN would be a walk in the park, especially without competition from QR.

What's the volume of Middle East and Indian O&D to/from Denver? O&D from nearby cities served by DEN that aren't also served by LAX? Liberal, Kansas; and Kearney, Nebraska?! More NYC is an obvious move; IMHO, DEN is not.

What an ignorant comment. There was a graph that displayed where DEN's international traffic originated from. Roughly 400 to 600 people travel between DEN and India/Southeast Asia daily. Denver has one of the strongest tech economies in the country with a growing Indian/Asian population. Combine that with a star hub at both ends. I bet you think Colorado is strictly weed and skiing.

I married a Turk I met in the Denver area. There are plenty of Turks round there

There's lots of Eritreans and Ethiopians in Denver. And you can't throw a rock in the Denver Tech Center without hitting an Indian restaurant.
Americans love TKs low fares to western Europe via IST. If TK comes to Denver, I wonder what that means for Norwegian and Edelweiss.

With the volume of growth DEN is experiencing, I have to imagine TK will come eventually, especially since DEN may become UA’s second largest hub. However, TK at DEN is likely a few years off. TK’s biggest US hole right now is DFW and that need to be addressed first.

I would think SEA first, over the other two.

Forgot about SEA, they are a hole as well. I’d still put DFW just slightly ahead of SEA, but SEA is definetly far ahead of DEN. Nonetheless, I think all 3 are strong contenders.

If memory serves me correct they served EWR from 1991-1993 with a A310.

There's more than what's on the surface, concerning SEA. Much like the previously mentioned DEN situation concerning Ethiopians and Eritreans, there are a lot in SEA, too. But there are lots of people that go to Moldova and Western Ukraine in Seattle, too. And they need either VIE, WAW, MUC or IST to have one-stop connections. Neither of those flights exist from SEA. Also EK had cut the DXB flight from twice a day, to just once, last year. So, you have a certain amount of Indians, who used to take EK before, needing a new connection.
Yes, SEA does have DL to AMS and CDG. But no KL/AF connections to Addis. Or to Ukraine/Moldova. Yes, LH has a FRA flight, but leaves in the afternoon, and gets in too late to make(usually double) connections to LWO, KIV, ODS, etc. You cannot count on them to have that many available seats. Nor, similarly, you cannot count on UA, AA, BA, etc. to have enough seats to cover the demand, either.
It's not so much about a local need for SEA-IST, but rather, the aggregate amount of people going to ADD, ASM, LWO, KIV, ODS, and India.
