Easter in 2109 falls into that timescale so good on BA to keep capacity up whilst reducing number of flights.

What?! How is this possible, I thought Dubai had no O&D traffic to speak of! BA don't even send the A380 to JFK, how could they ever fill it to DXB? Or is this a vanity project to finally match EK's product?

No O&D traffic?? Dubai is the main business and financial center of the Middle East as well as a major tourist destination.

1. DXB will have 1 runway closed during that time, forcing airlines to cancel or combine flights
2. JFK operates using 744s that are way more premium heavy than their 388s, so makes sense to keep 747s to JFK (not even sure Terminal 7 at JFK can accommodate 380s either). Plus they operate almost on a shuttle basis, so no need to have higher capacity aircraft either.
3. LHR is BA's hub so the flight is by no means limited to O&D traffic, that said there is O&D traffic between London and Dubai...

Last time they closed one runway, I don't believe they reduced frequencies to DXB.
