I've often wondered why there's no transatlantic Skyteam service to DFW. I get it. DFW is a megAAhub. But it is also the fourth largest metropolitan area in the nation, so one would think that the market could sustain a daily flight to AMS or CDG, even if only seasonal.
I hope that your friend's information is true.

I didn't say KLM was coming back I said that Air France is taking their slot
MARSHAL1 wrote:DFW doesn't have slots. Air France could have started service to DFW anytime they wanted to.
If Air France wants to start service MCO would be a good place to start.

Even if your rumour is true why would that be stupid?

Because A332 are retiring soon

There are no slots at DFW
I think some posters here get confused between slots and frequencies. But US-EU is openskies so frequencies arent relevant either.

So I THINK that has been established by the number of posts before this. It’s sad what has come of this site. A bunch of bullies eager to stomp on anyone for the slightest.

You don’t seem to understand.
DFW is not a slot restricted airport.
Any airline can fly there just for the asking.
No airline has any slots at DFW, not even AA.
KLM does not have any slots at DFW to give to AF because DFW does not give or sell slots to any airlines. Every airline can have slots for free.
Is that clear enough?

Between SkyTeam and OneWorld, there is actually very little overlap in terms of TATL service to US fortress hubs.
OneWorld hubs PHL, DFW, CLT, PHX all have no SkyTeam TATL service, despite DFW, PHX, and PHL all being top 15 metro markets. Similarly, OW offers no TATL service to LHR or MAD to DTW or MSP, despite both being top 15 Metro markets. The lone exception to this is ATL with a BA flight.

It's not that hard to understand. But I will wait for proof. I'm not surprised people are piling on this as impossible as they usually do with DFW, saying it will never have more international service despite having full foreign carrier planes, booming economy, 4th most populous metro in the US, population increases are the largest in the USA, etc etc. They are too busy suggesting silly fanboy things like 3x daily AUS-Saigon on A380s lolololol. I've said it before, and said it recently, DFW is a huge gap for Skyteam to Europe and Air France would be a perfect carrier to fill it. Right now they're just leaving revenue on the table. Just ignoring Skyteam loyal fliers in DFW and in Europe.

Yeah that’s what I meant.Even If it should’ve been easy to understand I should’ve specified

The data is the ATL airport. Most unpleasant place to be in the developed world. Most unpleasant workers. Of course, you may disagree. Giving Skyteam fliers the choice between one or two connections (including stressful ATL) to get where they need to go between Europe and DFW isn't exactly serving them well. From one of the posts above, AF is already getting bids for ground service to serve DFW starting in 2019 so let's just see. No need to bully the 15 year old original poster for the confusion on verbiage.
