The flightaware shows RV1604 as departing YUL and arriving back at YUL just under an hour later, but at the time I am typing this Flightradar24 shows the plane in question, FIN 693, about to takeoff from YUL to go to FLL.

It also says estimated . . I was tracking the altitude and it went on approach down to below 2,200 feet and was as if it was going to land at BTV. . i was a little late to the ATC but i heard them taxing to customs But then again i could be mistaken . . . Kinda wish i was at the airport at the moment . . .LOL

Is that typical for them to use a 763 on that route? Rare to see wide bodies on these stage lengths anymore.

Yes, Rouge uses the 763 on a number of short/medium haul flights, including from YYZ/YUL to Florida and from YVR-PHX and YVR-LAS

Strange because I’m now seeing RV1604 at 39000 just NW of Newburgh, NY enroute to FLL. I don’t see why it would need to go to customs at BTV given that it is precleared like most Canada to US flights.

It may have just been moved to that side of the airport since that is where customs is.

Maybe 'Customs' was just referring to the section of the ramp? Transient aircraft often park there.

I don’t understand how a flight can have departed YUL, divert to BTV, land there and park on a ramp, apparently then return to YUL, and then depart again for FLL and only be running 30-45 min late. This is really a strange one to me.

Slightly off topic but a couple of weeks ago Flightradar24 showed my parents flight from YVR to FRA as having made an emergency landing at ORD. I got worried, but no other site showed that and it turned out to be untrue. After a couple of hours it was corrected on FlightRadar. Any chance these things could be wrong?

Another Rouge heavy on short final to Florida - this time it's Orlando International.

I tuned in to LiveATC after I saw the first few messages and listened for an hour or so and never heard anything for AC/Rouge.

Speaking of diversions and BTV, it's honestly kind of surprising how little diversions BTV gets in general, mainly weather diversions from the likes of YUL, BOS, BDL, PVD, NYC.

Seems like when it's major weather it's just 'small' enough that it leaves better alternatives like ALB or PWM or MHT or BDL (if NYC or BOS is bad). YUL seems to go to YOW mainly which makes sense I guess.

Big thunderstorms in Montreal and Southern Quebec this afternoon; trees down, power knocked out, etc.

That must be one of the largest aircraft types to land at BTV. Largest right now is FedEx with 757s.

It should be noted that BTV has been getting more love lately. Currently there's a daily 738 to EWR on UA and a daily 73G or 319 on DL to ATL.

these diversion anomalies happen all the time on Flightradar 24..yet that actual diversion never happens, it is some type of glitch when the aircraft is passing over a particular area where as the pilots probably input a navigation change or route change reentered into a computer and its detected as a diversion...

Diversions to BTV from YUL happen from time to time in the summer months. AC has diverted 767's, A330's, A320's etc over the years.
BTV has had DL and UA 744's visit before on military charters.

Fort Lauderdale is one of the largest cruise ports in the world. Plenty of traffic in and out. Rouge flies the 763 into FLL year round. I was there in February and there was one headed to YYZ and another to YUL.

The YUL to FLL market is huge, up to 5 daily 763 in the winter time.
