MAD-EZE is now up five daily and prices are rarely cheap. Huge market with high average fare.

If they dont sign a colective agreement and try to use dietrich new company run¨low cost union¨ (yes thats the name), they will go after HQ with all strength. Most unions are willing to sign more productive agreements, like the ones they sign with avianca. But dietrich is obsessed in creating only one union for pilots, Ground engineers, FA, ground support. I understand that 5 o 6 unions are too much, but one union in this line of work is unviable.
Prepare for massive strikes if dietrich continue with this line of work.

You must recon that argentinian unions stick with teeth and nails to a commercial model that is very outdated too... The unions are reluctant to consider that Argentina is on 2018, and they want to impose their work model from 40 years ago... they are being aggresive with all new airlines, even with Latam or Andes that operates in Argentina from many years.

I agree and Dissagree. They are reluctant yes, but the union model dietrich try to impose is unviable. One union for all employees is unviable. Pilots and Ground engineers are very specific jobs to be represented by someone who is not from that line of work. Different jobs, different economic situation, different responsabilities. I Agree that 6 unions is too much, but only one like dietrich is crazy. It will never work. On the long run pilots will not accept other representation than a pilot union. And If Macris gov continues to insist with the way the manage the economy (35 percent inflation plus debt), they will help peronism to reunify. Peronism works close to unions. what do you think will happen to low cost unions if peronism return too power.

I think we need not worry very much about peronism uniting or back in power in the immediate future. The sewer opened two weeks ago is nowhere empty yet and who knows where this scandal will end. The filth touches pretty much every one in the party so they either ditch Mrs Kirchner for once and for all and salvage what they can or they are doomed. Beyond the hard core CFK followers (top: 3 MM) they are toast and have as many chances to returning to central government as hell has of freezing over. So the existing aeronautical unions better sit down and realize they don't have much public support. Not saying that Mr. Dietrich is right or will prevail but the gravy train has ended for the unions as we knew them.

Sorry. Could not help it. Don't confuse your own wishes with reality. They are not going anywhere and thanks to the opposition you will most likely have Macri until 2023. Not by his own merits but because the rest are even worse. So you think Lavagna, Massita (I grew up in Tigre) and their posse (responsible peronism? Now that is an oxymoron!!!) would have done anything better? Please...
Lets get back to Not only this is purely political; it is so parochially Argentinian. Chau!

Living elsewhere does not mean I have given up on my identity nor my participation on the civic life there.
PS - I have no position on the "one size fits all union". The first time I heard about it is when you mentioned it, nor do I care about it, frankly. Don't drag me into that discussion, please. I believe you were talking on here with someone else about it. All I can say is that if and when something ridiculous as that would happen, is that the existing unions had it coming.
