Arrow air LGW-TPA

Mon Jun 25, 2018 4:15 pm

This was my first ever flight back in Jan 1983. What aircraft did Arrow use on this route back then, 707 or dc8?
I always believed my first aircraft was a 707, but maybe it was a DC8.

I believe Arrow had at least one B707-347C. No idea if you were on that one or not/

Arrow bought a bunch of DC8-61's from United, so I'd guell they were DC8's

Think it launched soon after Laker in 1982, and lasted until around 1985? During summer they flew DC10.

Checking the Gatwick archives, the closest relevant movement I can find is Arrow Air's N707AD B707-327C being reported at LGW in Dec 1982 so Arrow were certainly operating 707s into LGW in that period.
I think your belief that your first aircraft was a 707 is likely to be correct.
