Better government > better economy > more flights. Look at CCS for reference. Turn off the madness and you'll see the flights restored.

I had someone a few years ago try to convince me that Nicaragua is the up and coming US retirement destination. Glad I didn't listen !
That can happen to any place, chaos or prosperity can be just a single election away. Even some US states are bleeding people badly while others are growing wildly.

AA is sure pulling a lot of capacity out of China this winter. ORD-PEK gets canceled and PEK/PVG both see cuts. I'll be curious to see if any of the other US carriers object or make a bid for any slots.
Looks like they are in good company with the other US3. The A330s and 787s from 3U and HU from Chinese secondary cities flying into US cities are probably diluting the yield too much. Look at all the new connections they have, that goes way beyond the 787 inland flying that UA started a couple years ago.
