Here are the tentative schedules:
Flight 426 MCO-MYR lv 11:15AM arr 12:45PM
Flight 229 MYR-MCO lv 5:27PM arr 6:57PM
Flight 426 MYR-BWI lv 1:25PM arr 2:45PM
Flight 229 BWI-MYR lv 3:30PM arr 4:47PM
It operates as a "through-flight" from MCO-BWI with a stop in MYR, so that means Spirit will capture some MCO-BWI traffic as well which should help the route. I have no doubt in my mind that the BWI flights will do well, as evidenced by the resounding success of their current MYR-BWI flights (already added a second frequency most days of the week for this summer). I wonder about the MCO route, however with Disney traffic, golf traffic (somewhat), and the thru traffic from BWI, I'm willing to bet the flights will do okay. I'm selfishly happy because I go to school in Daytona Beach and live in Myrtle, so I now have a nonstop way to get home to visit!
I wonder if we can expect any more announcements like this from Spirit soon.
