Nice! do you happen to know when the P to F ones will start to arrive, and when the first batch of 4 arrive?

If the 767-F hangs on long enough, pretty soon we'll see monthly 767NEO threads here!

Again, whomever mentioned a "767neo" should read the threads on why there will NOT be a 767NG or 767 Max. If so, then only as a freight jet. Too old of an airframe and the pax variant got eaten alive by the A330.

While in general that is true... that there is no reason to invest in an upgrade. There is a future possibility of a potential engine change (and retrofit for existing 767/767F) should the Boeing MOM aircraft produce a much more efficient engine in the right thrust and physical size range (which is plausible).

I see the 767F being produced for at least another decade - and potentially several. If the MOM produces a suitable engine... such an new engine will significantly extend the life of the line.

Have a great day,

Regardless of whatever form of "alphabet soup" follows the numbers 767, I feel that this purchase is a good deal for Boeing, and I will be glad to see these additional aircraft creating jobs and doing business for UPS, especially at their Worldport at SDF.

Does anyone has the number of B767 on order, including those for US Air Force?

EDIT: Got it, from Boeing website: 62 unfilled order for B767-300BCF (excluding this new UPS order) and 38 B767-2C. Total= 100

Here we go again....c'mon girls...we don't need this to automatically be an A vs B thread.

Funny...what defines "eaten alive?" The 767 has 1100+ built and the 330 has 1300+ built, yet the 767 is 10 years older. I wouldn't call that eaten alive.

Those are 62 new built 767-300Fs, not BCFs.

The length of time that Boeing's touch work contractors take to convert and paint a BCF varies somewhat. I have seen them completed in as little as 3.5 months and as much as 6 months at QPG (ST Aero). At the new BCF line at TPE (Evergreen), the first conversion (N1427A for Atlas/Amazon) took just under 6 months. So, figure 4-6 months for the aircraft at QPG and as much as 6 months for the one at TPE from the time they arrive. Some aircraft arrive in worse condition than others, which can affect the conversion time insofar as they typically also receive a heavy check at the conversion house. It's probably fair to assume that the JAL aircraft are in good condition, and they are 5-10 years younger than most 767-300s that are being converted these days, so they may move through the process somewhat more quickly. Or not.

N363UP arrived QPG on 3/19/18
N364UP arrived TPE on 4/16/18
N362UP arrived QPG on 5/2/18

Those are 62 new built 767-300Fs, not BCFs.

Thank for the correction. I convenientionally thought all were BCF.

UPS secured two more production slots, so total UPS 767 deliveries will now total 9 new builds plus the 3 JAL conversions.
