That line of Thunderstorms was a serious wall. All the NYC airports halted ops, now PHL is getting it.

I am slammed with the after effects of it at work, so I cant check. Does anyone have the diversions that occurred, there has to be some fun ones in there

Seems peculiar if it was a weather diversion (since Boston getting whacked), but DL 143 (777) is flying BOS-SEA now (normally AMS-SEA). Maybe a crew time-out issue.

thank you all, I had about 50 from that list and my screen froze up and it all was lost (never getting that time back ugh)

BWI/IAD loaded up, a few of the DL have cxld, for instance the one at SYR, interesting night for many airports

DL407 SFO JFK SYR B763 ended up circling over NYC area and going into JFK instead of being diverted.

And it's not like BWI/IAD are high and dry either. BWI has gotten nearly 2" of rain in the last 2 hours..

Glad I wasn't at work tonight (ATC at Potomac). I would have ended up working a lot of those BWI diverts, and depending on where the IAD came in from, we would have worked them through the airspace.

JetBlue 400, MSY-BOS diverted to PWM and, was on the ground almost three hours before resuming to BOS.

I wonder if in retrospect the decisions for so many to divert to the DC area are being regretted, because the line was blasting south and absolutely nailed that area, as we can see from that pic of hail above. So they just got delayed there for more hours, and looks like many crews timed out. Also quite surprised more of the International flock doesn't appear to have been caught up in this. Had to be some white knuckle landings

I think the storms hit in between international arrival banks for JFK and EWR, so it was mostly domestic and Caribbean flights that got impacted.

Really had no choice. Cleveland center wasnt taking alot of planes. Had to hold in DC center til Cleveland center was able to take some or divert.

Had a Mexico city to Newark flight that got lucky and was able to get in. Another flight i had was able to get into going Houston to Dulles get in about 30 minutes before it got impacted. Just one of those spring evenings.

AA 1581 738 DFW to BDL, diverted to ROC, landed 5:38pm. Flightaware shows the flight as having circled over Central NY before diverting to ROC. Does not show the flight as having left ROC.

Yep! I'm the one who answers the 33 line with a "HELLOOOO!" like Uncle Leo from Seinfeld. I'm super professional.

Last monday was an insane delay day for ORD and WAS as well. I had colleagues flying to ORD who got diverted to MKE, IND, SDF, FWA, and CVG.

And some big diversions and wind shear issues now at ORD. The fun never ends. AWI, GRB, MKE, FWA, MSP all getting ORD traffic. Even RFD now,
