Within what appears to be a completely revamped Metropolitan Airways website is a report regarding the future of the AvroJet.

"The E-Fan X hybrid-electric technology demonstrator is anticipated to fly in 2020 following a comprehensive ground test campaign, provisionally on a BAe 146 flying testbed, with one of the aircraft’s four gas turbine engines replaced by a two megawatt electric motor. Provisions will be made to replace a second gas turbine with an electric motor once system maturity has been proven."

With regard to Metropolitan Airways which on this updated site they seem to be leaning towards the name Metro Airways instead. It also appears that they are also planning on using the Fokker 100 in addition to the planned AVRO RJ-100.

How do they plan to generate 2 million watts of power on that little airframe and match/beat the efficiency of the the original engine? Or store it, since I'm sure that's what people will say in response to question #1 (without an astronomical weight penalty).

Also wasn't this announced Nov '17?
