Jason Schmidt of Dubuque, Iowa clearly.

I was looking on flightradar24 and saw nothing that matched this. When was this pic taken? Looking at WIkipedia, it does not look like Pullmantur

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wamos_Air

as SJU is not listed as a destination. But, in the airline biz, that means nothing....

It's EC-IOO which was Pullmantur's only 743, operated between 2003 and 2008. This is way before the Wamos brand came about. In the mid-2000's IB was short on widebodies before the A346 deliveries were completed so they regularly used Pullmantur Air and Air Atlanta for extra lift so they could have been using it for their SJU-MAD flight. It also could have been a cruise charter, as the Pullmantur group is owned in part by Royal Caribbean International.

Ah, thanks.

Didn't realize this was a 743.

Had to blow up the picture to realize that the winglet actually belongs to the CM 737. Though it was part of the 747's wing.

Well considering there is an AA A300 and a pax classic 747 in the Western Hemisphere, there is no way this photo is less than 10 years old.

Yep, my mistake.

And crazily enough, once you said that, I went to SDQ's wiki page.... and it's the picture that the page actually uses!

Has all the info on the pic right there:

Las Americas Airport. Air Pullmantur operating a charter flight from MAD, with one of the usually 3 flights of Copa Airlines, at Terminal A. In Terminal B, can see one of the 16 flights operating by American Airlines daily in SDQ.

Thanks!
