I'm getting ready to leave ARN again this week and for the second time I noticed a A330 operating inbound on what I thought was normally an A321 operated route.
I looked in the res system and today it shows an A330, however every day I checked, - and I could have missed something - the rest of the month it shows A321/B737 ops. I know there was a plan to upgrade a large number of Nordic destinations as well as some European flights this summer to the A330.
So, Is this a scheduled upgrade or last minute change? Regardless, it's nice to see another widebody on a 3-4 hour route.

TK also takes advantage of its LHR slots flying A330 on IST-LHR.
Both ARN and IST are Star Alliance hubs, however, it's most likely that ARN TK O/D demand is so big that there are times an A330 is needed.
TK is so popular in Sweden that pretty much there'll be no surprise to see it flying to MMX some day quite soon.

TK also had an A330 in the middle of 3 daily IST-CPH rotations on a regular basis, until the 'coup attempt', terror attacks, the Kurdish 'troubles', and refugees from Syria and Iraq meant traffic numbers dive bombed. As the numbers are coming back up, so will the A330.

We also see the A330 at MAN on an ad-hoc basis replacing the A321 as demand dictates. TK are pretty flexible with their fleet.

TK has a huge 330 fleet so those planes have to be deployed somewhere, but as far as I remember, ARN is also a cargo driven upgauge to the bigger equipment.

A good number of European cities see TK 330s on a regular/scheduled basis, including those in the routesonline but also MUC, FRA, DUS, BCN, CDG, etc, etc, etc., sometimes 2x daily depending on the city. More interestingly, perhaps, Kiev often has 2 daily 333s and ATH also often sees a couple of 333s (or 77Ws or both) a day.
LHR also sees various TK widebodies each day. For example, next Tuesday it'll have 2x 77Ws and 1x 333.

DUB was twice daily A330 on Saturday but that was for obvious reasons.
