N588HA was ferried to MCI to get checked out and fitted for UA,with the next 2 over the next couple months. By years' end, HA will have 11 A321neos on property to which will take over majority of the 767 routes currently. Currently planned 7 deliveries between 2019-2020, unless HA decides to take the additional options they have on the order.

United took delivery on Tuesday and ferried it to GYR......

Nice. Think once the summer rush is over, the next 2 will be handed over to UA through MCI. Tho woul've been a shorter trip from OAK to GYR instead of OAK to MCI to GYR lol

Yep plane is back in service due to the delay of A321neos. Will be or should be officially retired by the end of the year if not sooner. AC is way too old and causes way too much trouble.

592 is next to go, in the middle of the summer rush. They go through MCI to have mx performed before handover to UA. 594 will be last, in March 2019.

Oh, ok. That makes sense. At least on the PHX route, the last 767 flight will be on Dec 31, 2018. The A330 replacement begins on Jan 1. Those 767s definitely are ready to be retired. I flew on N581HA and N582HA recently, and everything was so outdated.

Yeah, 767 fleet did not get a cabin refresh once HA decided to go with the a330s last decade. Tho the 767 wasn't suppose to have stayed in the fleet as long as it is right now. Would have been nice to have a refreshed interior instead of the 90s, even 594 80s look lol.

Actually, the 767 fleet is retiring earlier than originally planned.

594 has the after market 777 style retrofit interior with the look of the new style, but space of the original small bins. In fact all the ex DL planes went through major interior upgrades when they joined the fleet. They had newer cabins than the ones delivered from the factory several years before. The ex DL planes (594 is the only one left) look more like the factory fresh ones with the new concept interior from Boeing than 580-583 which still has the old small bin style. 580-583 look very 80s for sure. Bottom line though, all their cabins are dated and the company chose to not spend the $$$ on a refresh.

Interestingly enough this aircraft is operating the HA19 SMF-HNL today but turned back and appears to be diverting to the Bay area...
