Jan-Feb are low time, and I've read that WN is stretched thin right now. They're also adding a bunch of flights at DAL because they found a way to use their gates there more efficiently. If there's going to be one less flight to BWI, that's not a terribly surprising time.
I've never seen the slightest evidence that WN was or is going to discontinue ROC. What "skeptics" are out there?
JetBlue subbed in an A321 at ROC today. I'm hoping they do it one of these days when I'm in town and can get a picture.

ROC has a catchment area, as does SYR; that's a given. Over the years, however, ROC has received a not insignificant number of pax from the SYR catchment area. I believe a lot of that was due to the cost of operation at SYR vs. ROC, and resultant fare and service differentials. Quite honestly, it seemed SYR's primary mission was enhancement of patronage, regardless of the party in power at City Hall. The former B6 CEO, several years ago, said SYR could support considerably more traffic if only the cost of operation were lower. That said, credit to ROC for capitalizing on the backward philosophy at SYR.
Now that SYR is operated by an authority (which I believe is still too beholden to City Hall, but I digress), perhaps the tide will turn, and it seems to be doing so already. I strongly believe the SYR catchment area can stand on its own merits and support WN. Hopefully, ROC can do likewise without having thousands of pax from CNY who are closer to Hancock.
