As discussed on previous threads and in industry news, Delta wants to shrink their regional fleet and bring mainline reliability to Delta Connection.
I have heard rumors that Delta wants to terminate their contracts with GoJet/Compass and in the end they envision being down to 3 Regionals (Endeavor, SkyWest and Republic) and that could be announced this year. However, it seems with the delay of the C-Series, that announcement may have been delayed as well.
With the announcement yesterday that the C-Series will begin deliveries this year, is it likely we will see Delta end another regional contract as fleeting permits? It seems both Compass and GoJet's reliability is subpar at best over the last few years.
