Utair may become a 737 MAX 7 operator

Tue Feb 13, 2018 5:14 pm

As the CEO of Utair told during the NAIS-2018 expo, Utair plans to introduce Boeing 737 MAX 7 and 8. Airline plans to introduce 4-5 planes a year beginning 2019.

For me it is a bit funny to see the world's largest operator of 737 Classic (probably not much of a honor these days) which was forced to ditch all of A321s and 737NG orders to introduce such new aircraft. In other words, their financial situation may be too unstable to potentially become the launch customer of 737-MAX 7. I don't know when the WS, WN and Canada Jetlines (if they will even exist) will introduce them, but isn't it almost a consensus now that A319NEO and 737MAX 7 will be by far outsold by CS300 and new E190?
