There is a lot of value in the first couple of frames of any airliner type to go to the boneyard. Not too long ago 7 year old 73Gs from Easyjet were going to the breakers after just seven years flying.
The engines and many spares are worth a fortune as manufacturer sourced parts tend to be expensive. Why pay dealer price when you can get your part from the scrapyard for much less? All it takes is a breaker that is properly accredited and qualified and those spare parts will fly off the shelf, fully checked out by licenced engineers and ready for putting into rotation.
