Hey all,
The 1998 OAG shows Cairo served by Philippine Airlines with an A340-200 from Manila with 1 stop in each direction, but as is fairly common with the OAG, the "nonstop" is not displayed between CAI and MNL, leading me to guess that there were no traffic rights on this leg. Does anyone happen to know where the stop may have been? Thanks!

For anyone interested/researching this themselves, I found out that the aircraft did a triangle routing stopping in DHA(prior to the commercial opening of DMM) and RUH with one stop to CAI and one on the way back. I think the routing was MNL-DHA-CAI-RUH-MNL best I could gather, but I may be incorrect. Philippine Airlines ran into financial issues in 1997 and by late 1998, most long haul routes were dropped or suspended including this route and the MNL-YVR-EWR route.
