Where?

The timing would coincide with the FLL runway closure.

The thing is, Ive seen it in a thread, I don't know, if its true, it probably is going to have to do with the runway closure.

WOW air has applied to fly MIA-HAV/SNU charters on behalf of Gulfstream Air Charter: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1409509

These flights are currently operated by Eastern (formerly Dynamic) with 767s and there are billboards in the Miami area advertising the only widebody service between Miami and Cuba.

Is Gulfstream dropping Eastern or is this additional flying?

Currently the LH Miami to Frankfurt route is A346 due to the issue they had with FRA airport. September 2019 I am booking flights to Germany and they are currently showing A380s on the route. Anyone know if this will stick or what the plan is for this route in the future?

The A380 on Munich-Miami is only for the winter season which begins late October. A380 returns on Frankfurt-Miami after the winter season.

I wonder if we'll ever see new service of significance from PBI? FLL's rising costs and congestion doesn't seem to have slowed the airport - growth might be down but major service cuts haven't happened yet. PBI continues to struggle for service. It's so bad now I know many family and friends in Palm Beach County who don't even look for flights from PBI anymore, just fly out of FLL unless they have to fly from MIA. Combination of lack of service and high fares.

A few years back, I had a series of day trips or 2-day trips, so I parked in the long-term garage at FLL. About every time, I would see at least one car with a Palm Beach county license plate. PBI is somewhat north in Palm Beach county, not extreme north like Jupiter, but maybe more than halfway up, so it could be the residents in southern Palm Beach county (Boca Raton, Delray Beach) are just as close to FLL as PBI, and given the better selection of flights at FLL...

TF-GPA

Interestingly, the article states that it was the Cuban government that asked to Gulfstream to change airlines from Eastern in the first place.

WN still has opportunities to further expand at FLL, and there are still some more domestic nonstop routes such as FLL-CVG, FLL-CLE, FLL-SDF, FLL-OAK, FLL-OMA, FLL-ROC, and FLL-SAN that could be added by WN at FLL.

While WN currently only serves MKE nonstop from FLL on a seasonal basis, WN could extend MKE-FLL nonstop service to year-round.

WN had previously said that it was considering adding FLL-CLE nonstop service, but CLE already has nonstop service out of FLL on B6, UA, and NK. On the other hand, CVG, SDF, and OMA are located in markets that aren't served by B6, and OMA also doesn't currently have any nonstop service to FLL on any airline.

ROC is located in the largest metro area in the Northeastern U.S. that doesn't have any nonstop service to South Florida, and ROC-FLL nonstop service could be added by either B6 or WN.
