Delta will operate a refurbished 777-200ER on their Detroit to Beijing route on alternating days with an A350, from July 2 through July 20. Any idea what the plane will do and where it will go after July 20?

Regarding the unscheduled SWAP for DL142, why was it unscheduled? The aircraft went out full to AMS even with the addition of nearly 60 seats. Is DL planning on keeping the 777 on the route in the future?

DL has scheduled a number of swaps on the SEA-AMS route during the month of May from 333 to 772. Yesterday was not one of those scheduled swaps. I presume the explanation lies somewhere with the unscheduled maintenance of N806NW, the diversion of N804NW and the rescue flight of N815NW. That plus the fact that the 772 fleet has slack these days and aircraft based in SEA.

The 777 have two less seats than the 333, not 60 more...

Is that correct? I thought DL had 56 767-300ERs left in service, but 15+33+7 = 55.

Someone I follow on instagram was onboard 804 when it diverted to YYR. They reported an IFSD of the number 1 engine. I cannot verify that - but only from a passenger report.

What about the remaining 7? Surely they are also being utilized for the summer schedule, so why are they not included? They must be either 76Ls or 76Zs, but are not included in the reference to the summer schedule!

The remaining 7 are 76Ts (with crew rest) are to remain as such. Mainly used transpac from SEA.

Possibly. The new cabin is basically identitical in appearance to the A350.

This is a sneak peak. I’m just looking forward to seeing full-size photos.

These A350s sure do seem to be having their share of problems, don't they?

Thanks for these daily lists. I quite enjoy reading them.

Ship 801 on the 26th DTW-AMS

I was curious about whether there are fewer spares and less slack in the fleet than usual, as I haven't noticed that many irregularities lately on what is usually a very reliable fleet.

I was wondering the same thing as I walked by a gate area full of annoying passengers attempting to get rebooked at 12:30am last night in DTW after DL138 DTW-AMS cancelled.

It seems that there have been a significant number of A333 tech-related cancels in the month of May, at least judging by this thread.
Is the fleet stretched too thin or is there more to it?

That, and the A359s too but that can at least be somewhat attributed to "teething" problems and a very small fleet.

sounds like a rough week, DL will get thru it. I like seeing how quick and organized they get those "rescue" flights up. I am traveling to CDG Monday but with AF A388 and then returning a week later on VS744 to MCO from LGW. ON the out-bound i'll be connecting to the last flight to CDG from JFK so knowing JFK GDP typically every time, I've been planning back up options.

I think it's a myriad of things, for instance the lack of spare parts caused the AMS-DTW cancel, as they had an interphone issue which was an easy fix, but the spare they had was only applicable to the A330.

The A330 issues is just plain bad luck, 3306 coming back online should help tremendously.

Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah, with 3306 out of service they went to an even busier schedule on May 24th, and they've had a long haul cancel on the 333 every day since then. Hopefully having a spare come back on line will straighten things out. And I am guessing 3304 can go right back into service after an engine change since it was just an IFSD and not a worse occurrence.

It seems that the 763 non ER won't fly SLC-ATL-SLC from mid-June.

Am I correct ? (because I might be in the US and want to try the 763 non ER without going to HNL).

It seems that the 763 non ER won't fly SLC-ATL-SLC from mid-June.

Am I correct ? (because I might be in the US and want to try the 763 non ER without going to HNL).

I see it on ATL-LAX some days.

ER has 1-2-1 configuration up front, while the non ER has 2-2-2.
Also you can see a little bed symbol in the availability screen which indicates flat bed seats up front on the ERs.

763 stops SLC-HNL after 6/7 and ATL-SLC after 6/15. will switch to ATL-LAX & ATL-ANC effective 6/8 & 6/9. adding a second ATL-LAX rotation from 6/14

Is the A330-200 on the JFK-LAX flight a single aircraft flying back and forth for a while or is this going to rotate? I am flying the 330-200 LAX-JFK on June 26th.

The JFK 332s rotate between LHR/LAX/ZRH. They also cross with DTW/ATL 332s thru LHR.

According to FlightAware, it was in the air for 17 hrs 15 mins. It shows that it didn't land at 1.15 pm (5 hrs 15 mins after takeoff), it landed the next day at 1.15 am! Even FR24 is a bit confused as it says that it arrived at MSP already! Then it shows SIN>NRT as cancelled today, and NRT>MSP operating tomorrow! I wonder what happened?

Dose anyone know when ship 7004 will re-enter revenue service? I know the first scheduled flight isn't until 7/1 on DTW-PEK, but I heard on here that it will re-enter service on 6/15. If that is true, any idea what flight it could go on?
