What was the final -8 MAX delivery count? Wikipedia had 49, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was off by a few.
Simpler than the NEO (only one model being delivered with a single source engine vendor).

Lightsaber

So, at this stage the single max line is producing approximately 10 aircraft per month. At rate 52 this would be sufficient to meet demand. Does anyone know when the other two production lines will start producing max aircraft? Should be soon!

So curious to see how it looks with those wings and bigger engines! Sports car of the 737 fleet

I think we will see that aircraft near summer time since preliminary flight filings for TK are showing late summer/ early winter.

Garuda's second 737 MAX 8 won't arrive until 2020.

"From the results of the renegotiation, the second B737 MAX 8 aircraft and so on have been rescheduled to join Garuda's fleet in 2020-2024 from the previous delivery schedule of 2017-2019," he said. "Every year from 2020 to 2024, there will be between five to ten (aircraft) delivered."

What is the reasoning behind this? Seems like it could be very expensive (especially the spare parts inventory) to operate just one aircraft of a type for 2 years. Are they planning on operating their sole 737 MAX 8 or are they planning on parking it for 2 years?

Back to the storage area, I don't think they would take the aircraft out of storage just to slap on a new reg and then put it back.

Possible shortage in CFM LEAP-1Bs as there are about 7 aircraft without engines out and about. That includes LN6740, LN 6785 and LN6796 all for Shanghai Airlines and LN6758 for Hainan Airlines, all pictured below.

CFM acknowledged it is running behind in terms of production ramp-up on both A320neo and 737 MAX.

As long as engines are not fitted on the 737 at the assembly line, engines are not delivered on time. Right now, most LEAP engines are being installed after final assembly.

I know this is a MAX thread, but how many NEO are short CFM engines? It seems CFM has a minor production ramp issue.
