Is the 737-10max going to have a wing that optimize for its size or will it retain the wing from the max 9?

Do we have pictures of this one? There was a rumor going around they were throwing a new/revised livery at us.

Up to now the only changesI read about, is a change to the MLG to move the rotation point aft and perhaps a thrust pump, otherwise a simple stretch of the 737-9.

Two questions:

1. When is the -10 supposed to have its first flight if design was firmed up today? Late 2018? Early 2019?
2. Does anyone else think that the -7 could be a star for BBJ?

It’s green and those rumors have been squashed. Nothing is changing on it. Maybe page two on here?

Also here are photos of the second 737 Max 7, line 6798, c/n 42569. It is missing its engines and advance technology winglets. It does appear however that it will wear Boeing house colors while it participates in the flight test campaign before eventually finding a home with Southwest Airlines!

Thank you for sharing these pictures. I wonder if any will find a home as a business jet doing charters for airlines like the Privat air recently did for SAS? Or maybe a 737-7MAX ER, like the 737-700ER ANA has been flying. According to Boeing the BBJ MAX7 will have more than 7000Nm range

G'day

Found this pic showing Lot's economy class seat on their new Max's on a Swiss tabloid

Why on earth would anyone post a picture like this, communist era marketing maybe? Or maybe they started to sell seating for minors?

Sounds just like that. Tabloid _____, I’ll let you fill in the blank.

Honestly the configurations and layouts are all up to the individual airlines. The manufacturer has NOTHING to do with it. They just install what is ordered.

This is a ways off in the distance right now, but Alaska's first MAX delivery (a MAX 9) is scheduled for early 2019.

Seeing as AS' deliveries were originally scheduled to begin around Q1 this year, does anyone know which airline those slots went to instead?

Where are you seeing that? The last I saw, they had pushed back their first deliveries from the end of 2017 to 2018. This says the first deliveries are also MAX 8s.

A google search doesn't bring up anything more current than this article. Could it be that's when they take delivery of their first MAX 9?

Depends on the specs Monarch ordered, if they are common or not, seats, etc. It will definitely be sold as the MAX8 is a popular product. Price or time until delivery are the variables here.

while the basic plane makes the swap easy, it's the customer configurations that are the choke point. everything from seats, carpets, galleys, lavs to cockpit instrumentation and equipment. Since these items are customer procured, there is no stock to draw from and must be purchased anew and be jammed into the suppliers tight manufacturing schedules.

yes, although there have been initiatives to install the lavs and galleys sooner but the durability of the rail trip West was seen as a constraint. on the 787 most of the flight deck instruments are installed in Wichita before shipping however the air transport is much less rugged than a rail trip.
