The A350-900 Regional was just lower Operating Weights and de-rated Trent XWBs. Weight Variants 005, 008, 014 and 017 are all suitable for "regional" operations.

I am not sure Airbus will offer a "regional" version of the A330-900 as the extra weight kind of negates the fuel burn savings on short missions. Airbus does offer a number of sub-200,000kg TOW Weight Variants for the A330-300, all of which are suitable for "regional" operations, as well.

Good point.

At some point the A330ceo will go out of production though, but I suppose one of the lower weight variants of the A350 will be a suitable replacement.

Seems like SQ's regionals will be 250t

https://www.flightglobal.com/news/artic ... 18-447149/

The Star Alliance carrier is the launch customer for the lower weight A350-900 variant, which will be certificated to a 250t maximum take-off weight compared to the 278t of the standard A350-900.Its Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines will be derated to 75,000lb-thrust (334kN), allowing cyclic engine maintenance intervals to be extended, but will otherwise be identical to other A350-900s.

Yes, it looks poor, due to the relative smaller surface of the tail fin ( livery looks better on their 748 ).
Fact is the trend for minimalism makes it harder to nail it right, any difference in frame proportions is highlighted.

Sorry to disagree, but it doesn't look right in my opinion. There's too much white and the little that is not coloured is too small and is the wrong colour. I think that getting rid of the yellow on the fin was a mistake.
If you look at the Air France colours, their aircraft have a lot of white, but they have bright colours on the fin and a little on the fuselage so they don't look too bad IMHO..

I have looked at many 'eurowhite' liveries recently and concluded that the ones that employ a third colour seem to work best. Air France being a good example. No I don't count Lufthansa's yellow square by the L1 door as a third colour.

These are the old winglets, the first aircraft to get the new ones is MSN 219 for IB.

You can spot the new winglets as they appear thinner and longer from the side and taller and straighter from the front:

IB#1 is supposed to be the 1st delivery with the new winglets (although PR#1 MSN211 is manufactured earlier and delivered later than it, might have them as well)

PR#1 is MSN221, NOT 211(that is QR). AFAIK, Airframes from MSN216 (first -ULR) and on will have the new winglets along with the revised wing twist. Will have to wait for MSNs 217, 218, 220 etc to roll out to confirm.

The spreadsheet says it's being leased from LATAM (the original customer), which likely explains why you didn't see it. ;)

Nothing has been reported as of late on the Chinese frames. I think MSN-002 is being used for airshows and MSN-003 might still be used for maintenance training. I also think MSN-004 is currently in storage. Not sure if its awaiting a buyer or headed to museum.
