And from me too. We’d be much poorer without Karel’s great information.

Could someone share an estimated timeline on the first JL A359, ie final assembly, first flight, delivery?
Thanks.

That Air China looks great.

Just an update on the upcoming DL deliveries, MSN 182 is scheuled to deliver to ATL on Feb 15th, MSN 190 on Feb 28th, and MSN 199 on Mar 31st.

Looking onward, the 12th delivery won't be until February of 2019.

Counting msn 60 as delivered in dec 2017 I see 9 delivered in december for a total of 78.
First time I see december not being the best month of the year, which could be seen as progress.
Though airbus would have liked delivering more to qatar and china for sure. :D

Yes, it seems some A350s were offloaded in November already.

Still, for Airbus in general, December 2017 is a new record month with more than 110 civil aircraft deliveries.

Interesting the quick speedtape repair on the fairing. Does that impact departure reliability?

Does anyone know what the test flying for the ULR will be? Does the first frame require significant test instrumentation? How many flying hours will be required?

As Airbus are headed for 10/month during 2018, the November and December numbers should become the norm. At least I’m hopeful there won’t be a January slump this year.

I think January will be less than par - BUT it will be a few more than the one delivered in January last year. There are many more in the advanced stages of testing on the flightline.

My forecast (guess) would be 6 to 7.

- 4 First Class Suites (1-2-1)
- 36 Business Class (1-2-1)
- 32 Premium Economy (2-4-2)
- 216 Economy (3-3-3)

Total: 288 seats

Similar to Malaysia Airlines' A350 First/Business class cabin I guess.

Pretty "normal" if you think about it.

SQ has had 1-2-1 in both F and J on their 77W for a decade.

EY has the same arrangement.

F is full-sized 1-2-1 and J is more dense and creative (think staggered, herringbone, etc.) 1-2-1.

And the delivery of the first A35K is pretty much a given as well in this month. So I guess they should easily deliver more than 6.

Editing my TLS-photos from last September I came across a mismatch between msn & F-reg. on a Cathay-A350:

Image

Image

According to all sources F-WZNO would be msn 155, but msn 154 would be F-WZNQ....

Can somebody shed some light on this and figure out which aircraft this actually is? Photo taken on Sept. 25, 2017.

MSN 154 = F-WZNQ
MSN 155 = F-WZNO

Sometimes, the wrong test registration is applied to the fuselage during assembly. It gets fixed before first flight. Here is a photo of MSN 154 with correct registration F-WZNQ:

Things have been pretty quiet on the -1000 front again. Wonder if MSN 88 required some software updates following the visit to MKE by one of the test aircraft.
According to the production list, 8 A35Ks should be out of the FAL already.

Yes very slow with little test flying and Qatar -1000 whipped off for more rework. After what appeared to be a good test programme there are bound to be the odd hicup! It was interesting they needed that MKE visit lasting over a week. Three weeks to month end and a delivery!
