A350 won`t be mistaken for any other, & in terms of branding which is so important it, wins out IMHO.

Not to get too hung up on the Skyteam/OneWorld livery thing, at least I can tell the QR frame is QR's. You have to be right near the VN frame to tell that. Probably the point. I don't think either livery looks particularly good, even on as nice a looking plane as the A350.

It's amazing how quickly TG has built up its A350 fleet, for an airline that originally ordered the A350 only in single digits directly with Airbus and with a hodgepodge of multiple intergenerational widebody types in operation.

True indeed, and when you think about it, Thai has probably ordered/operated more variants of widebody twins than any other carrier in the world: A300B4, A300-600, A310-200/300, 767-200 (Yes! Ordered, but never operated - due to a spat with Airbus!), A330, A350-900, 777-200, 777-300, 777-300ER, 787-8, 787-9. I'd be very surprised if the A35K didn't end up in TG colours at some stage in the future!

Don't forget the A340s! Although I hope for its sake that going forward, TG streamlines its fleet. 787 on the lower end and A350 on the higher end could work well, especially with an A350-1000 order like you mention to replace the 773/77W/A380s down the road.

Now the A350-1000 is becoming more usual, the 900 looks almost stubby on these pictures.

Funny you say that I had the same thought looking at this. When I first saw the -1000 I was like wow that thing is way too long. Now its grown on me and the -900 looks like a shrimp. Now imagine the if the A358 had been built!

Chinese deliveries depend on CAAC certification. I've seen nothing about the timescale for that but it could still be a few months. Prospects for some of the frames not helped by HNA apparently running out of money!

It's the old new blue. LH stated to some German aviation sites that they will need some months to work on the "new" new blue color. Even the first LH Cargo plane will still be repainted in the old new blue.
(I thought they'd just make the blue a tad lighter quickly, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe they try to get it right this time. ;) )

The ones the said they wouldn't take and then said they would are MSNs 63, 78, 90 and 100. The first three were all delivered last year.

MSN 100 and the others are just ... late.

I wonder why "FRENCH" is placed so far aft on the starboard side. It's aft of R2, whereas on the port side it's between L1 and L2.

The gap will be to add the "Bee" since the airline has had to change it's name to French Bee

Just noticed that on the unofficial site below that the second A350-1000, MSN 65, F-WLXV, has now been assigned to BF (FrenchBee), and the third A350-1000, MSN 71, F-WWXL, has now been assigned to VS (Virgin Atlantic).
