I came across this interesting graph of it appears to be a UA presentation justifying their pick for 359 as 77E replacement.
Image

It's also interesting to see where they positioned 789 in terms of range compared to the 359 !

Interesting 78K lost 2000+ miles in range for a mere 60 seats increase

It's all payload related. UA's 789s are configured with just 252 seats while the A350s will feature more than 300 seats.

AFAIK IB is the one to reveive the first A359 with the new winglets. I'm not sure about ULR version, if you say so...

Agreed but I suspect that IB will be the first in service with the larger winglets. The additional testing required for the ULR will mean despite being a lower MSN it will actually get delivered later.

ULR wil be equipped with the longers WL.

Even with 300 seats, A359 can fly as far as the 789 with 252 seats.

Hey guys. Does anybody know which different MTOW SQ is operating on the 359 ? I'm especially interested about the frames will be used on regional routes.

Seems to me the 789 is at around 9200nm in the graphic. What are we missing that you are seeing?

The fact that it says SM and not NM in brackets at the bottom?

Configuration of Singapore Airlines regional A350s:

- 40 Business
- 263 Economy

Total: 303 seats

Seat suppliers: Stelia & Recaro

3rd different A350 configuration for Singapore Airlines, to replace the carrier's A330 on short regional flights.

Slightly more premium heavy and alot less Y than the 787-10

How many regional A350s does SQ expect to receive ?

Do we know who the -1000 test frames are going to?

Secondly do we know if the rework to remove the test instrumentation has started on any of them? I do know MSN59 has been test flying recently but the others have been quiet.

Probably still up for sale like two of the -900 prototypes are presumably. No announcement on any of them.

All are held at TLS pending the CAAC certifying the A350. It has been reported that there are political trade offs involved rather than the delaying factor being the amount of work required. No way to estimate when this might be resolved. Apparently registrations have been assigned which can’t be bad news.

They should’ve used the QR grey on the fuselage and not white. It would have looked better imo.

With respect to the posters above, I don`t think it`s about which looks the best or nicest. It`s more to do with
highlighting the difference between the Qatar Oneworld plane & their regular branded aircraft, without making
it look ridiculous. Sure the Skyteam plane may look more pleasing to the eye, but from afar the Qatar Oneworld
A350 won`t be mistaken for any other, & in terms of branding which is so important it, wins out IMHO.

According to Sichuan's chairman, A350 deliveries are due to start in May.

Sichuan Airlines said last year that it had rented four A350 aircraft and purchased 10 more in January this year, bringing the total number of A350 aircraft to 14 and adding the existing 11 A330 aircraft, the total number of large dual-long long-range ultra-long aircraft reached 25 aircraft. "Everyone concerned about the A350 passenger aircraft will be delivered in succession in May this year."

They could have at least made the nacelles match. I mean, I think the OW logo is ugly in general (still the alliance that works best for me), but it is what it is. I just think the grey nacelles are what really throw off the livery.
