739ER/739MAX have ISP throughout (73G and 738 do not), but the 753 doesn't - not quite sure what the logic is here. With PDE being the norm on many narrowbodies, ISP should be available throughout the aircraft.

Although F has the new seats (same on the A320 and 73G), economy is the B/E Aerospae Pinnacle with seat back pocket, the same as the 737-900ERs. I was surprised that they didn't even install a tablet holder like the 77As, given that these birds sometimes fly ORD-LAX and LAX/SFO-Hawaii.
Pretty disappointing, from my point of view. BYOD is not a replacement for seatback IFE. They could have at least provided some sort of device holder at the very least. Furthermore, the old 757-300s had some of the best legroom out of all the aircraft in UA's fleet.
On the other hand, there are some seats that you'll want to be grabbing if you are flying on this configuration. The seats immediately behind the second overwing exit are missing a seat in front, giving you essentially unlimited legroom. I also don't think you'll have to stow your bags in the overheads, because there is a seat two rows in front that you can put your stuff under.

Not really, the amount of time it takes to get everything in place for that type mod is very time consuming. A/C 2786 had its work package already put together well before mod induction back on Jan 12.
I'm thinking that the odd part is now they will have two sub-fleets.
The expectation is that 2786 will be the only one with new Polaris and no Premium Plus (as 2796 replaces it at XMN), so hopefully it can be retrofit on an expedited basis, maybe even here in the States at SFOMX.
I am eager to see the LOPA.

739 and 753 have dupes in 800 range.
73G and 772 have dupes in 700 range
738 and 772 have dupes in 200 range
77W has a new range of 2X4X
It all works with 4 digit, even though not easily grasped with different ranges from 2 airlines
The only question I have is why the 7Max aircraft aren't using the blank 300 range.

N76062 entered MCO 2801/2Apr
The 0600, 1000, 9000, and now 8000 are also open.
Given there will be over 160+ Max there is plenty of room in the 7000 for them all.
Max9 are 7500, MAX10 are 7700 ... I would’ve started 7100, 7300 myself, but what can you do.
Note: technically 3000 are open as well... but given current computer software won’t accept 0 as a first digit, all former CO aircraft that had 0 added to the original three digit fleet #s show 3xxx #s online.

Don't forget that the UAX fleet all have the 4 digit numbers as well for SHARES, 1000's taken with GoJet and Republic and Mesa, 7000's for Skywest, 9000's for the ERJ's flown by TransStates, CommutAir and ExpressJet, so not all of those ranges are open.

From your lips to God’s ear! (Or Oscar) I would love that out of EWR.
EWR is like United's youngest child who gets hand-me-downs with their wide body fleet. The 77W is daily on NRT and almost daily on one of the TLV flights. United has shifted over all the 763s and 772 A domestics. Nothing much comes to EWR new.

Given Polaris must not be cheap, is Kirby the one who decides what ac will get what? If not who ultimately makes these decisions? I’m have a feeling (although naturally I could be wrong) that Oscar doesn’t get involved at that level? Or is presented with the grand plan for his approval?

Good assessment on the 764. EWR-HNL, IAH-AMS and US-Brazil covers a majority of International services and the 16 unit fleet can easily be scheduled on those and shorter routes. If not converted to Polaris, could the 764 eventually become a transcon, hub-to-hub, Hawaiian aircraft or less premium TATL aircraft? It's has fairly dense seating and economics are good.
Besides cost, I think Polaris may have another issue that the 763 doesn't - that being door 2. Maintaining the 39 BF seats with Polaris is likely not be a good fit with a fixed distance between doors. The 763 has no door 2, so spacing for Polaris is flexible with the Y cabin.
That being said, maybe the 764 could have a reduced Polaris configuration and small premium economy section before Door 2 and be utilized on less premium routes.
Also, the 764 could be configured like the 772A with a reduced BF section and more dense Y.

One would think that if the 764 is transitioned to US TCon/HI service UA would reduce the J cabin by a few rows to add more E+/E. They could potentially add even more E with the introduction of slimlines similar to the new 75E and 77G/M configurations. A 764 with ~270-290 seats would surely be a CASM king with the added ability to take containerized cargo. The 764 is a surprisingly great cargo hauler provided you’re using 767 compatible containers.

I have bad news for you. The small Saks Fifth Ave kits are coming back right now but only to deplete what is left over in stock. We are getting a new tin amenity kit that is almost the exact same as the 747 tin it just says United/Polaris instead. I'm not sure what they are thinking with this. Nobody takes them. Everyone liked the Saks kits and some of the others you could take with you at the end of the trip. Nobody wants to hang onto a bid tin.

With the first 772 retrofit near completion, and another one with the new Premium plus..how long till we see the entire international fleet with the new Premium plus?

Speaking of which, did/does PMCO and the combined company use LD2s on the 764s? I thought PMUA only used LD3s on the 767s or am I wrong?

They are getting a different type of Y class seat than the 77Ws but it will have AVOD...UA should be the first airline with B/Es Aspire Y class seats.
"The Aspire product line features more passenger living space with an increase in seat width over current generation seats. A key feature of the Aspire patented comfort system is an advanced kinematic mechanism that cradles the passenger during recline while preserving maximum living space for each passenger. Aspire also incorporates added under seat stowage and greater passenger living space due to the proprietary seat frame and leg structure. Passenger amenities combine the latest new generation Panasonic high definition monitor for In Flight Entertainment, a mid-level literature pocket combined with a full width single piece food tray, aft facing PC Power on all seat assemblies and ergonomic adjustable headrests."
