How long does Boeing closed for Christmas?

Winter Break is the last week of December (so 24 December 2018 through 1 January 2019). Boeing will perform deliveries (at least contractually) during this time, however.

Thank you Stitch. Learnt something new today from members here.

A question to all, how much early notice does Boeing requires if their customers needs certain interior fittings to be put in place? Reason for asking is Royal Brunei's fifth 787-8 V8-DLE was delivered earlier this year without the crew rest even though they have enough non-stop BWN-LHR a few months earlier. Now Royal Brunei is resorting to temporarily leasing HiFly A343 or using their A320neo to cover MEL as their 787s go to Shanghai to be fitted with crew rest.

Thanks again for replies.

The cheatline livery suits that long airplane so well. Very pretty.

Someone caught it departing FTW. Transponder might be saying N565ZC, but it’s now 9V SCG

Love the color, outfit colors, except that the business class is so sanitized. Couldn't they have at least picked a Tahitian print... I know, picky picky, but I was *so* impressed with everything else.

Then again, I live my life wearing shirts with colorful prints,

I wasn't aware the Uzbekistan Government was getting a 787?

Going by the 787 production list, I presume its LN764 UK-78704? I thought it was for Uzbekistan Airways

Saw it wearing UK001 as the registration this weekend.

If you look at the fourth photo in reply #955 above, you will see that the cabin has already been outfitted!

The cabin is fully outfitted. They’ll also be making a stop in LAX before continuing to PPT.

Thanks. Seems to be reliable looking at his other posts and he was on the flight as well. Still doesn't explain why the airline randomly has some pilots at OKC, nor why they need to swap there and not at LAX where they'll be stopping anyway.

The pilots were almost certainly on the aircraft when it departed CHS... OKC was just a convenient location to swap the crew out for training purposes.

I wasn’t referring to seats. I was referring to outfitting similar to what UAL does at SEA-TAC with new 787’s. But it has since been answered as to the stop in OKC.

It was to give a crew a take off and landing. This way two seperate crews got a flight logged upon arrival at LAX. If the swap was there, only one would have got one.

The flag of the United Arab Emirates on the tail, and that third word rendered in gold lettering in English and Arabic on the fuselage?

A small update on Global Jet Luxembourg's first 787 at Amsterdam : according to posts on local spotter forums it's actually stored in a hangar there all taped up and missing an engine. I thought it was being worked on but I guess the prep work hasn't started yet.
