I heard about it, apparently it has already stopped operating. The plane hasn't flown for a while, and crews are operating RJ flights in the meantime.

Wow back to the future :)

Interesting move, but one that will likely bring some benefits. Could be a step in the direction of broader ties, but we will wait and see.

Does anybody know when MEA will receive first A320 NEOs. Any status on the Widebody renewal plans. Also, I had heard they were interested in E-jets, any news on this?

Seems like Etihad has given up on those plans. A friend of mine flew on them recently, a five hour flight on the A320 and he said that it was horrible: most seats were broken and worn out, quality of catering was abysmal and the overall experience was horrible. He said the only decent part about flying on EY is the inflight entertainment.

I guess their financial woes are impacting the level of service.

Flyadeal (CCO) stated he expects the airline's financial results will be "robust", with plans for an IPO contingent on the results of both the airline and its parent Saudia

Flyadeal expects religious traffic will become a "bigger component", as it expands and sees more "worker traffic"
-CCO stated: "As we transform as a business over the next five or 10 years, we will go from being a Saudi outbound business to being more of a blend of Saudi outbound and inbound into Saudi. Change is going to come".

Flyadeal open to operating PSO services, although govt yet to offer
