Pretty much all flights at HEL have been delayed yesterday and today because of so much deicing having to be done. For example yesterday's AY5 just landed back as AY6 delayed by 2,5 hours.

Qatar Airways' expansion at HEL continues:
as of 31 March 2019, QR301/302 will be flown with Airbus A350-900 aircraft (per QR timetable, QR307/308 remains an A320 service but I wouldn't be surprised if that will also be changed to a wide-body service)

Doha – Helsinki eff 31MAR19 QR301/302 and QR307/308 operated by A350-900XWB, replacing 787-8

There were 4h queues for de-ice. In the bottom end they didn't have enough equipment for the de-icing.

5 times daily is a lot of seats for KEF-CPH! Is CPH the airport with highest frequency for Icelandair?

The "madness" doesn't stop there. Next summer KEF-CPH is likely to be a battlefield. Icelandair with their 5x daily (4x752 & 1x753), WOW 1x daily (A320/A321) and SAS 10x weekly (A320/A32N/A321). That's 52 weekly flights.
Also yes, CPH is the airport with the highesy frequency for Icelandair

For obvious reasons, Icelandair, and at a much different level, but also WOW are the ones who are going to put on offer everything they can in order to defend this route as "theirs". If I was in charge of Icelandair I wouldn't doubt to even deploy the 6th frequency. Key market for them.

SAS codeshare on most FI flights to OSL, ARN and CPH so I’d think they’re more co-operative than competitive on that route. Besides, FI has been 4-6x daily to CPH in the summer season for years. It’s just the new RON flight times that are different.

Finnair is adding capacity to LHR from 31MAR19, a new daily service and more widebody flights.

A new daily service on HEL-LHR:
AY1343 11:40-12:50
AY1344 13:50-18:45

The daily 1337/1338 gets an A333 and the A350 on 1331/1332 continues as well.

Any idea where the slots are coming from?

It looks AY made a deal with BA who announced the cancellation of BA798/795 LHR-HEL for S19, the capacity was moved to Finnair. The total number of seats will increase though, with the A333.

What are SAS new LH routes in 2019? It seems like the Swedish airport tax was axed in Budget 2019...will SAS add additional LH routes out of ARN?

SAS won't add any new LH routes from anywhere until they have a sufficient number of A350s delivered and that's atleast until 2020. They han barely make their current LH schedule work with their current fleet

Do you know whether SAS is going to replace the A340 fleet with the A350s ordered or are they going to increase the size of the wide-body aircraft fleet?

as i have understod there have been talks about keeping at least some of the A340's for now, but all can change, because the numbers of A350 on orders Equals the numbers of A340 in Fleet

It will probably be a mix, but it will depend on the demand and economic development

Actually, it will be addition of one aircraft, if all A340s are retired. The 8th A340, the «famous» LN-RKP, is being replaced by the single A330-300 on order that is delivered Spring 2019. So then utbud 7 A340s in their fleet with 8 A350s on order

Most of their A340s is owned, so the ownership costs are low, and it has been talks about reconfigure then with fewer business class seats and more economy and use them on lower yielding destinastions. With a few exeptions the yield on SAS long haul routes seems to be rather good
