Canadian Federal Government approved the bill for expansion of preclearance for Toronto Island and Quebec City Airports. Probably won't happen for a year or so though.

I think LGA and DCA are the most obvious targets that would've driven the specific desire for USBP preclearance.

YTZ is awesome news. Would love to see Porter at LGA, though not sure where they would get the slots.

Porter has been running at their maximum number of YTZ slots for a few years now. (As has AC). So any new destinations announced as a result of pre-clearance would be at the reduction of somewhere else. EWR/IAD perhaps?

This will increase PD's appeal when flying to the US. They'll only transfer from IAD to DCA if they can get at least 3 slot pairs at DCA for a reasonable price.

I wonder if DL will return to YQB because of this. They could beat AA to the punch by offering YQB-LGA with their larger slot portfolio at LGA to work with. I could even see DL add seasonal YQB-ATL on a 70 seater.
Logistically pre-clearance will also make the UA flights to EWR and ORD and the AA flight to PHL a lot more practical as they won't be required to tow the aircraft after deplaning.

Really nice for BTV, as this is the only scheduled international flight. Kind of tough to land on the other side of the airport to clear customs on the arrival.
