Aigle Azur to add A330s to its fleet

Tue Dec 12, 2017 11:10 am

Aigle Azur has announced plans to commence long-haul services with 2 A330 aircraft.

The French company explains on December 12, 2017 that the two aircraft will be equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, and configured in three classes with perfectly flat seats in Business class, an "Eco +" Premium class and an Economy class. No details on the distribution of seats in the cabins, but all passengers will benefit in all classes of travel of an "on-demand personal entertainment system of the latest generation." These first wide-body aircraft are to join the Aigle Azur fleet in the first half of 2018; it will be composed of 12 Airbus aircraft (one A319 , nine A320s , and therefore two A330-200s ).

Sounds to me that they'll become another user of ex-AB birds.

We've heard this before! Let's hope it actually happens this time.

Dec 3, 2012. Following the entry of China’s Hainan Airlines Group (HNA Group) as its new shareholder, French carrier Aigle Azur is preparing to add its first Airbus A330-200 in summer 2013 to support the start of long-haul operations, initially from Paris to Beijing

Given Neeleman's and HNA Group involvement in the airline, could it be that the source of these A332s is Azul (AD) or TAP (TP)?

Since when does Iberia have ex-A330's ? Their A330 are all very new even the A330-300's. IB probably got their first A330 in 2011 or 2012.

They don't.
Flight is HU-7908 from CDG to Xian (XIY) operated by Hainan Airlines with a A330.
There is a codeshare with Aigle Azur (flight ZI 1907) but Aigle Azur doesn't own a A330 and doesn't operate to China.
