Any in the know or thoughts if AA may resume SJU-BDL in the future?

in the future who knows, but as aaflyer222 notes, not any time soon as capacity to SJU is getting cuts pretty much everywhere, except EWR on B6 for some odd reason..
If B6 can't run much down there, not sure AA will be able to either. The below for example came from enilria's weekly OAG report.

B6 BDL-SJU JAN 1.5>1.1 FEB 1.5>1.0 MAR 2>1.0 APR 2>1.0 MAY 1.8>1.0
Bring Back Orion Airways, you were the best!

If anyone jumped on it I would say WN or DL but only if B6 gives up the route which I doubt they will even with the downturn in travel to Puerto Rico. When AA flew BDL-SJU you not only had O&D pax but a decent amount of connections from the SJU hub which no longer exists.

Indeed. Since AA dropped SJU as a hub, it only flies from there to hub cities. It doesn't even fly SJU-JFK anymore, so I'm sure BDL is no longer on the radar. Used to be an A300, too.

BDL-SJU is heavily VFR (I don't recall the numbers, but Connecticut and specifically Hartford has a sizeable population of Puerto Rican descent. Schools have seen increased enrollment so I imagine lots of flights going out with empty seats and leaving full to capacity. so even with little to no tourism taking place this route can can hang on for B6, but no one will be adding capacity on it and certainly not AA. They seemed content to cede this route to B6 several years ago.
