Flydubai CEO, Mr. Ghaith AL Ghaith has said that the airline is in the market for more aircraft as the airline is looking for expansion with eyes on Africa, Europe and Russia. The airline is now looking on how to expand beyond 2023 when the company will be operating more than 100 aircraft.
"“We look at the [Boeing] 737, so that’s 738-800, 900, and 1000, and we also look at the 320 and 321 Neos, so these are the two types of aircraft that we are always looking to expand using. We are not close to deal, so that’s why we’re not announcing anything at this air show, but we continuously look,” he said in an interview with Gulf News."

This is for "beyond 2023" so I will not be surprised to see FZ a launch customer once the Boeing 797 rolls out as that is the only aircraft that meets their medium haul expansion ambitions as the flying range shall be 7.5-8.5 hours carrying 230-240 pax approximately along with 6-7 tons of cargo in the belly.
