Tianjin Airlines has filed a preliminary schedule for its planned Tianjin – Xi’an – Auckland route, scheduled to commence on 29 December 2017.
The airline will service this route once weekly, with A330-200 equipment.

Tianjin Airlines already flies Tianjin – Chongqing – Auckland and Tianjin – Chongqing – Melbourne. It is planning to fly Tianjin – Zhengzhou – Sydney too.
With this new service, Auckland will have direct air services to 10 destinations in Greater China, which is impressive for a city of its size:
There have also been rumours that Xiamen Airlines will launch a Xiamen – Auckland service soon, with the carrier building on its success in Australia.
