What was the Swissair bankruptcy process like?

Thu Oct 19, 2017 2:45 am

Yesterday, I watched the terrific film Grounding which documents Swissair's final month's, day's and hours before the grounding of the fleet in 2001. As I understand it, the airline resumed ops a few days later and then for a couple of months before becoming Swiss. What was this interim period like? What were the routes, fleet, and general feel at Swissair during this period?

Could we see a similar grounding and restructuring anytime soon (AZ?)?
