First Air (7F) Facebook Live Event @ 1200 EDT today (October 12)

Thu Oct 12, 2017 12:49 pm

First Air (7F) have a Facebook Live Event today starting at 1200EDT at http://www.facebook.com/firstair/

There's no indication as to what it's about, no press releases yet or any other media coverage I can find.

Its a corporate re-brand and new livery from what I understand. An ATR and possibly a 737 with new paint will be unveiled.

Overdue rebrand, but reminds me of Spicejet. We'll see how I feel after it has time to grow on me

I wish they'd announce an expansion of the airline beyond the North. This new livery is alright, but I'm going to miss the unique tails à la Frontier.

However, I caught part of the facebook live presentation and I must say the new uniforms look very sharp.

I like the new colors, a little Avior-ish, but it's sharp. I will miss the tails too.

Very distinctive! I appreciate the Inukshuk and the use of Canada's official colours without being stuffy. Well done First Air! I agree that the various tail will be missed, but this new paint scheme really gives a great sense of energy in its own right.

Its kind of nice. Inuksuks have different meanings based on their shape and this specific type of inuksuk indicates that this is a place where someone died.

The tail looks like Mexicana.

Hmmm... Looks very 1980s Midway Airlines to me. I think if you showed someone unfamiliar with First Air a photo of the two liveries, they would pick the old one with tail illustrations as the new one.

It doesn't look bad. The person on the tail reminds me of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics logo, but that might have been done on purpose. To First Air's credit, they could have done a worse job. The livery still looks kind of plain, though.

Meh. It’s not bad, but not memorable either. Air Inuit’s rebrand a few years ago puts it to shame.

At least it's got more red on it than Air Canada's new scheme :D :stirthepot: :duck:

Air Inuit's livery is the best! Considering both airlines are owned by Makivik, I was hoping for something similar for First Air.

I have to say, I think Canadian North's livery is now better than 7F's...but compared to what is it, WS' pending Swoop? this is light years ahead of that...or WS' dated 90s Eurowhite look.

Yeah I know eh, sister companies and 3H's re-brand from 3-4 years ago was a home run...arguably the best livery in all of North America...and they still fly the 732!

So, if I am looking at this correctly, it appears the tail and rear fuselage comprises of two more Inuksuk figures in red: One just below the white icon and one resting almost completely sideways on the tail, both in a darker red variation.

I must say, I do like the new interiors. The gray seats with black and red appointments are quite distinctive...

Is it me or do those seats look ALOT more comfortable than some of the newer designs that are flying around out there?
