I apologize if I'm breaking any rules, this is my first post.
Today, sitting in office in south Amsterdam (almost under approach path to RWY 27) I saw live happening of this: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flig ... 08#eea4327
Long story short: I know aircraft is sometimes held in hold pattern but this guy was way low for that (imo) and suddenly start going up and right (towards me! yay!) I got scared a bit for a while - never saw that before.
assuming it wasn't go-around (that would have had to go through Schiphol, right?), what was it?

IMO looks like a little ATC sequencing, 1208 might have gotten too close to the plane in front, had wake turbulence issues, or couldn't go fast enough for the traffic behind him. It looks like he might have just gotten a right 360 turn back to the initial approach fix, because he climbed back up to 2000 to reintercept the glidepath. This maneuver isn't uncommon around the world, traffic permitting of course, but it saves the trouble of a go around.
