Yet another mostly white/sparsely covered underbelly bore.

From a distance that could easily be Delta .. or any number of other mostly white carriers.

Seems like there are 2 extremes ... boring ones like this ... or HIDEOUS ones like WOW, WIZZ, Southwest, Spirit, etc.

Nothing in between. Nothing classy.

Seems like they didn't put the roundel on the engine this time like they do on the 787.

Thanks for pointing that out. I wonder what the justification for that is.

created an account just to weigh in. Hate this livery, mainly the "mask" on the cockpit windows. Looks like the next member of the Incredibles

It's on the inner side of the winglet. I guess the 737Max will have the roundel on the winglet instead of the engine as well.

Awesome looking! Though from a distance, kinda easy to mistake for DL.

SOOOOOOO much better than that horrid toothpaste livery that they had.

I've often wondered what their new livery would look like on an A350. A mask on a mask!

What's interesting to me is that of all the new liveries various airlines have put out in recent years, they all seem to work best or better on the A330 than other types in their respective fleets. I'm thinking Air Canada, American and Thomas Cook as examples, hey even Iberia. There's no doubt others as well. Is it just one classy looking aircraft ?

I personally love it. Very crisp, elegant, professional. Yes, a bit '90s perhaps, and that's one of the reasons why I like it. It also reminds me a lot of the old Vanguards in AC livery for some reason...

Yeah I can't say I'm a fan of this somewhat retro livery and rigid lines. Think the tail and underbelly is too dark. They could take a leaf out of Delta's book.

Delta's looks more professional, like a modern American painting of abstract art. Air Canada's gives the impression that somebody sat at the computer and experimented. Austere livery and a mask don't mix well, me thinks...

Have seen the A321 and 787s. The under bellyshots look good, however it seems more white overall the larger the aircraft when viewed from other angles. I think the 773ERs will look even whiter as it is an even longer aircraft. When will the first 773ER appear?

Maybe yes, and maybe not. Perhaps the aircraft just needed to be repainted anyway. JL did the same with one MD-11 when they had them. Anyway, I glad to see an AC A333 with the latest livery on. Looks really great.

Bleh. AC went from a completely original, easily recognizable, lovely livery to....well....another white homage to a lack of imagination. I admit it took me a bit to get used to the toothpaste colour, but it was neat how well the scheme stood out in a sea of white. All they were missing was the roundel.

Now...another decade and a half of yawns.

IMHO this scheme suits the A330 very well, but neither the new livery, nor the A330 itself, set my heart aflame in and of themselves.

Call me weird, but it's the mid-1990s green tail with autumn leaf that really does it for me. The toothpaste is nice when conditions capture the sparkle, capturing Canadian winter conditions in a charming way.

The bandit mask is the least of it. They had a completely unique, classy livery. All they needed for a bit of retro was to add the roundel.

Now, it's just another white bowl of pablum on the tarmac.

It Is there if you look at other photos of that 787 you can just make out the red but it isn't very distinct.

It never cease to amaze me how backward airline liveries have been going over the last few years. The previous mint one was far more classic. Ditto for the red/white one. This new version is boring & hideous to say the least. Epic failure! Not a fan.

The toothpaste livery at least had color, in a world that is increasingly either Euro-white or close to it (sorry, a little color on the bottom isn't enough).

Air Canada would do better to go back to this livery. Lots of color. And it would still have the roundel. :)

Any idea when the first 777 will appear in the new c/s?

Will they do the 767 at all, given that it is probably not going to be in the fleet for too long more? (More likely to be repainted in Rouge c/s than new AC?)

Honestly I don't mind a livery being minimalist. But I think they could be a bit more creative with design & choice of colors used. They keep getting unimaginative & uninteresting as the years go by. Kudos to the few who retained or tweaked their existing ones that still stand out... SQ & KL comes to mind. I also like the tweaked AF (though the Eurowhite is a bit much).

Goose? Thunderbird? I assumed it was a raccoon mask, and a not-so-veiled shot at Porter (but then, we who live in the GTA always assume that its all about us... right?).

I think that the mask makes the livery, I see it as a nod to the anti-glare soul patch that that we used to see...

Looks good on 330.

While I understand that there's similarity between the new Air Canada's livery and Delta's, they are certainly not identical. Delta uses a navy blue and Air Canada black. It's that simple. They're similar, and likely easily mistaken to the naked eye, but they're not the same. I also don't understand why so many commentators here are jumping on Air Canada's new livery as being derivative of Delta's as opposed to just being another Euro-white livery.

For the record, I prefer the former Air Canada livery. The new one is fine, but fails to create any sort of unique brand identity. I love Airbus' A350 & A330neo black eyeliner and think that Air Canada's raccoon eyes/bandit mask is hit-or-miss depending on the aircraft and the perspective from which it is observed. It looks good in the above-posted A330 airborne and landing photos, and generally seems to suit widebodies, but I think it looks goofy on narrow-bodies and will age poorly.

I would say the 5 remaining 767s will remain the way they are and not be touched...

777, could be days/weeks or months. They also halted on the A321s for the summer (4 still need to be repainted if you exclude C-GITU which is *A).
