3 EY aircraft on ground at JFK simultaneously on 10 Sep?

Mon Sep 11, 2017 7:48 am

Yesterday I noticed that there were 3 EY aircraft on the ground at once at JFK--one A380 took off around 4pm, one A380 was parked near T4 in its usual spot, and there was another EY aircraft (I think A380 but didn't get a view other than the tail) parked at an A gate of T4. Anyone know what was going on?

I assume the 4pm takeoff was the morning departure but delayed, but still not sure why there would be 2 more aircraft on the ground. I thought maybe a diversion from a hurricane-affected city, but I don't think EY serves any cities in the southeast US?
