Wow never expect this. Congrats Qantas on your further expansion. Certainly a good use of aircraft.

I knew it wouldn't be too long before someone came up with the standard "What about Perth?" card....

I'm surprised they weren't already flying that route.
Remind me to send a thank you note to Mr. Boeing.

Fantastic to see, I actually heard a little rumour about SYD-KIX last year but that was for JQ.

I am remain shocked the KIX can't support more international flights. The second largest metro area in one of the most industrialized countries in the world with 20 million people...

Neither am I. But I suppose KIX's high usage charge may play a factor here.

Is KIX still one of the world's most expensive international airports to operate to ? It had that reputation in the past.

They have been offering significant discount to airlines since few years ago. Higher discount rate is even applied for those airlines commencing new routes into KIX. (If I recall correctly)

Being based in Sydney but own a unit in Kobe, year round schedule is just too good for me, let alone they use those refurbished 330s on this route.
Good job Qantas

Osaka Kansai has been losing quite a few airlines, like Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.

This route was also covered on anna.aero, which is also pretty good.
