the most I have seen on this side of the world is 10-12, but not 50+
At least AI put the pax up and ran 2 flights the next day to the same destination.

It's not nice, should not happen, can't change it, at least they assisted the stranded ones, can happen to any airline - thats it, next story please.....

Or is it that India is a democracy with a free press? How do you know this kind of stuff doesn't happen in China for example? Nobody would report it.

Is it possible that the system thought the plane had more seats? They have narrowbody aircraft with up to 182 seats. The article fails to mention that.

That's true and India's press LOVES taking a pop at AI whenever it can so point is well taken.
Still the airline is a national embarrassment in many people's view.
