New Technology Airport Security

Wed May 24, 2017 6:22 am

What will airport security look like in 20 or 50 years?

Facial recognition or retinal scanners to make sure you are the name on your ticket.

We might get better government databases, so that people with a better/worse profiles are treated differently.

AI attempts to profile "who might be a terrorist". Right now we make rules like "grandparents and small children can keep their shoes on" but surely one can do better (and hopefully in a non-racist way).

Better scanners to look for trace explosive residue on every person.

I too can imagine a hundred ways it might be worse, but can you imagine ways that it might be both better. Anyone have ideas?
