Still being drowned in booze with a decent AVOD selection? Doesn't sound that bad.

They didn't. Interlines are different from codeshares.

If AA drops QR then it will be really big given BA's ownership stake by QR.

To me this is non news. These airlines are already in other alliances anyway. SV goes to IAD, LAX, and JFK. We know JFK isn't relevant here. Who knows how many tickets these airlines sell while relying on connections provided by UA. O
Obviously greater cost to benefit.
But it's still kind of interesting.

AA can't drop a QR interline, they are both in oneworld.

I'm aware. Are they required to interline? Do the oneworld rules make that compulsory?

regardless of rules, it's not going to happen. AA has stuck by its EY and QR partnerships.

That assumes the crew is willing to provide such service, which is not always a sure thing....

Since when do crew have a say in whether the flight menu includes liquor, or whether the aircraft will be equipped with AVOD??

United787 wrote:I know this has been discussed before but with the Air Berlin and Alitalia experiments collapsing, Qatar in One World, could this be a sign that EY is joining Star Alliance? EY seems like it may need to be in an alliance as they don't have the economy of scale to compete with EK. I think UA could use a partner in the ME and Abu Dhabi is a much better business destination than Dubai (at least for my wife in the financial sector). She would much rather fly non-stop from the US than connect FRA.

The crew has all the say in regards distributing said liquor to the passengers, or not distributing it at all.

Business First?! That class has been retired for four months now!
There is Polaris Business and Polaris First. Have you experienced it yet?

While I'm aware that crew can choose not to serve a clearly-intoxicated passenger, on what airline is it the crews' discretion over whether to serve (alcohol specifically) at all?
