No. MSY's Hispanic population is primarily Central American, not Mexican, with Hondurans being by far the largest group.

It's why TACA flew to MSY for more than 60yrs (they left during Katrina), as well as TAN, SAHSA, Aviateca, etc.

Choice Aire came in to address the vacuum, but they seem to have dropped their MSY and MIA routes, abruptly and with little consideration for passengers. :(

You're confusing GOL with GLO.

The latter just got authorization to fly again, earlier this evening.
If they can find an operator, they have potential to salvage their business. If.

GLO is not gone. Federal courts ruled CFM must continue to provide the service. Check GLO's Facebook page.

GLO is definitely in flux, but was cleared today to continue flying. Presumably they'll find a new operator or pursue a certificate of their own.

Copa is currently filling some of the void left by the departure of TACA. Would be nice to see the likes of NK or similar start a flight to SAP to serve the large Honduran heritage population here.

As erratic as Choice Air's service was, I can't help but think that they were a large part of their own failure to support that route from MSY...

If anything, I was hoping that they'd shown the likes of Avianca/TACA that the market is still there.
They flew to MSY for nearly 7 decades. Shame that they aren't back.

Or if not them, at least NK, who already have a station at SAP.
