Look at VX. The big 6 (at the time) fought tooth and nail against it on the grounds of foreign ownership. Virgin is a global brand and had the power to fight back. Norwegian, not so much so. Plus the competition among airlines in the US is the highest its ever been and only getting worse.
lastly, look how hard the US3 fought against DY just getting an Irish AOC. Let's let Norwegian build its brand in he US first and revisit the idea in a few years.

Their current success mostly in the domestic market isn't pushing them hard into TATL. Successful foreign competition may be the needed spur.

Hope so, it is showing the possible success with D8 that such a option may happen in the future which will be good for passengers.
