I think that's the time for a first time painted aircraft. in this case, they need to remove the Turkish Air livery first before applying the Iran Air livery. I don't have an estimate for 777s but 787s take up to 28 days to complete that process.

That airplane is Boeing property as it was never delivered to TK.

I wonder why? So, it seems like TK still interested in taking delivery of this frame. What could be TK's position here? A discount? less charges for deferred MAX deliveries? A discount on the future 77X orders? I guess TK figured out IR wants this frame ASAP and trying to get something out of it

Is TK even in a position to take any more 777? From what I've been reading I thought they wanted to dispose of aircraft

The flight to VCV was set for Friday the and 14th and it was canceled as the deal was off. I'm sure Boeing wants its money and TK probably wants to see it gone as well, so that leaves the US Government involvement as the prime suspect. Keep in mimd that just don't send somebody a new 777 without months of preparation both regulatory and internal. Its not like turning on a faucet. Iran has placed lot of restrictions on the scheduled deliveries so one would think that they still don't exist for this airframe. I still think the banking issues I mentioned earlier may be a factor in this deal, no matter how it turns out. I guess Iran Air could put 140M on a pallet and ship it to Boeing like we did for Iran:)

The introduction of a new widebody aircraft in the fleet does indeed require months of preparations, yet they managed to introduce 2 A330s on short notice. Crews had a short training at Airbus in Hamburg.

The only reason for it not flying to victorville yet is that Iran Air representatives only arrived 2 days ago to check the aircraft and are gaining more experience in the pilot training facilities before they take the aircraft. Here are 2 links that support me : http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost. ... count=2957

Not need to get catty, it seems like you are delighted IR will not be getting any Boeings.
