The four Airbus 330-900neo have 42 XL seats, 365 seats in total. WOW is also buying two more 321ceo and leasing one more 321neo. The fleet will be 24 planes in the end of 2018.

Not surprising, I think a lot of A330neo orders will be this type, small, under the radar from leasing companies. The neo will just pick up where the ceo is already quite strong. WW seems to be on a very upward curve.

Or some frames are returned to lessors. Not all frames are on long time leases. There have already been returned 3 A320 during their nearly 5 years of operation.

From Flightglobal article:
The airline is being coy over the identity of the seventh aircraft, however. It states only that it will release details in a few weeks’ time.

Any guesses? A350? A321NEO LR?

In the Icelandic press release it says 2x A321CEO direct from Airbus and 1x A321NEO leased from Air Lease Corp.
No coyness there, maybe the ALC A321NEO is an A321LR ?

These could be used for a Reykjavik to Hong Kong which had over 200,000 searches and an underserved route of the week by Anna Aero.
Could Beijing and Shanghai also a possibly?

The article mentions plans for potentially flights to HKG. Would the A330-900 have the range and capabilities to do so with meaningful loads? AirAsia X is stretching the limits of the 339 with their proposed KUL-Europe route and this one is even longer...

More importantly, do they have Russia overflight rights? If not, a HKG flight is out of the question.
