Nice to see additions to ORD. Summer time travel 4x a week is a good start.

Flew WOW one trip. They should rename it NON, because that's the level of attention the pax got. FI is great however.

What kind of attention were you hoping for? Did they forget to roll out the red carpet?

Good to see them expanding and offering affordable alternatives to Iceland and TATL.

Don't forget that WOW air is a LCC where Icelandair is a legacy carrier. That makes all the difference in the world. In service, but in price too. You get what you pay for.

I was and am well aware of that. As I fly quite a lot, I like to try new carriers, just for the experience. I've still a few ULCC's to go, but no more long haul on the cheap.

See my reply to another poster. I was expecting a lower level of service because I knew they are a ULCC. That still does not excuse the cabin crew from going more than two hours without showing their faces once. It does not excuse the fact a nearby passenger had to ring for help four times before the FA came out, then didn't provide the man for a cup of water for another 20 minutes. And no, there was no weather, they were sitting in their galley seats just talking and laughing. That's inexcusable for any carrier.

Sounds like a retired head of cabin services for NW has come out of retirement and is now training WOWair FAs.

WOWair on ORD-KEF should do well.

Icelandair is pretty LCC as well. Service is mostly buy on board. Never flown WOW so cant comment. I would assume they are even more NK like than FI.

1 fleet type connecting through a small hub, how is FI not an LCC exactly?

DTW. Every thread, "why not DTW?" This is getting old.

In this forum, DTW should beat ORD/YYZ to: AKL, ATH, BKK, BOG, CAN, LIM, MNL, SYD, TLV (ORD), and countless domestic locations. There is a reason there is no nonstops to DTW, let alone ORD.

No its one irrational poster from DTW who has far to much time to rant on A.net that is ruining any thread involving any new service and/or any airport even tangentially associated with DTW or DL. He thinks DTW is the center of the universe.

Is this flight a NEO or CEO?

It's a CEO because they don't have the NEO. They got them on order, but not yet delivered.

I just don't understand WW starting service in mid-summer to ORD. With FI already there and operating daily, why even attempt to go up against them starting mid-July. They would have been better off starting from MKE. If they got a lot of Chicago area residents making the trek, then they would know they were on to something and then they could set up 70 miles south in 2018. If not, stay seasonally in MKE 4 weekly and enjoy the comforts of being the only TATL carrier.
